I love it when authors talk about racial issues in their stories, when they explain aspects of black culture and even write about colorism. However, everytime there is a black female lead, the male love interest s are almost always white. Now, there is nothing wrong with this, but on this platform I feel it is over done. A black woman is rarely displayed as someone in a relationship with another black man, or another poc.
